Fall Semester Philosophy Events

The Department of Philosophy will welcome many visitors for colloquia and conference talks this semester. The season got off to a great start with a talk by Erin Kelly (Tufts) on the first Friday of the new academic year, and continues this week with Roger White (MIT), on Friday, September 7. Future fall semester visitors to the department include Patricia Blanchette (Notre Dame) on October 5, and John McFarlane (Berkeley) on November 9. The Department is also hosting three conferences this semester: the annual meeting of the Society of Exact Philosophy, organized by Stewart Shapiro and Teresa Kouri; a mini-conference on Spinoza, organized by Tamar Rudavsky; and a mini-conference on Moral Psychology, organized by Tim Schroeder. Additionally, there are several talks planned by the Center for Ethics and Human Values and The Mershon Center that will be of interest to philosophers.
