Instructions

This competition is for excellent papers by current graduate students which have been accepted for presentation at conferences. Exact numbers of awards, and amounts of the prize may vary, but are unlikely to exceed $500 for each awarded paper.

Qualified submissions must be for a conference to which you have been accepted, which takes place after the date announced in the call for submissions.

Deadline for submission:

Autumn semester - October 15th
Spring semester - April 15th

A 1-2 page document that lists the planned conference, explains why this opportunity is especially valuable for your professional development, and briefly explains the need for funding beyond the department’s usual travel support. Please also include a brief budget, clearly explaining the amount of your need.

Proof of acceptance of the paper to the conference (e.g. a copy of the acceptance or invitation email).
