Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Education

I am currently focused on exploring the intersection of action, communication, and values. I intend to describe the relationship between value ascriptions and ethical discourse. Specifically, I want to understand how the ascription of a value to an event is coherently revisable in light of evidence. I want to focus on revisions motivated by dialectical communication and self-perception. More generally, I am interested in the perplexing relationships between language, perception, action, and embodiment.

Thus far my education has emphasized formal semantics, the history of German language philosophy, and virtue ethics.
