Welcome the Undergraduate Philosophy Ambassadors

The Department of Philosophy is delighted to introduce this year’s Undergraduate Philosophy Ambassadors. Each year, the department appoints ambassadors to help build community, assist with outreach and recruitment, and share their enthusiasm for philosophy with fellow students.
Please join the department in welcoming Julianna Hrebenach, Brooklynn Stout, and Jonas Watkins.
Learn more about each ambassador’s interests and backgrounds below:
Julianna Hrebenach is a junior majoring in mathematics and philosophy with minors in statistics and French. Her interests lie in the responsible design and governance of emerging technologies, especially where they intersect with strategy, policy, and risk. Julianna’s experience spans art-technology asset management, wealth management strategy, and international public sector consulting. Outside of class, she serves as Director of Internal Operations for Students Consulting for Nonprofit Organizations, Research Assistant at Ohio State’s Cognitive Systems Engineering Lab, and Co-Founder of the Claude Builder Club in collaboration with Anthropic.
Brooklynn Stout is a fourth-year student studying philosophy with a minor in bioethics. She is from Cleveland, Ohio, where she works at a local hospital as a patient care nursing assistant. At Ohio State, Brooklynn is involved in the Remote Area Medical club, which provides free medical, dental, and vision care to various communities. Over the past three years, she has also volunteered in multiple roles at Ohio State’s Wexner Medical Center. After graduation, she plans to attend medical school, combining her background in philosophy with her passion for healthcare.
Jonas Watkins is a third-year student double majoring in philosophy and political science. His philosophical interests focus on the intersection of the philosophy of language and metaphysics. Outside of his studies, Jonas enjoys traveling, the arts, and spending time outdoors.
