Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. Tim Schroeder Awarded Fellowship at the Center for the Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences

Tim Schroeder will spend the 2012-13 academic year at Stanford's prestigious Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences (CASBS).  While there, he will continue his research in moral psychology, informed by neuroscience.  In particular, he will complete a book project with Brown ethicist Nomy Arpaly that develops and defends the thesis that the "good will" is identical to a strong desire for the moral in itself.  This entails that the good will is not a will motivated to do what one conceptualizes as "moral" but, instead, being motivated to do what is, in fact, good.
