Lisa Shabel has received a Ronald and Deborah Ratner Distinguished Teaching Award. Only five such awards were given out to faculty across the twenty one units of the Arts and Humanities. She found out in a surprise visit to her class by Deans Mandersheid and Hahn, and Philosophy Chair Justin D'Arms.
