Philosophy Professor Wins 2012 Virginia Hull Award

Through the generosity of Virginia Hull, a friend of the College of Arts and Humanities, the College sponsors a competition for an award intended to advance the careers of women faculty members through direct support of their research activities. All women faculty in Arts & Humanities at the rank of assistant or associate professor are eligible to apply. This year the College has given the Virginia Hull Research Award to Associate Professor of Philosophy Lisa Shabel for her proposal entitled "Representation and Reasoning: Kant on Symbols, Diagrams, and the Mathematical Method." Congratulations, Lisa!
