Philosophy Major Earns A Prize in 2012 Denman Humanities Research Competition

Matthew Verdin, an undergraduate double major in philosophy and political science, has been awarded third prize in the Humanities competition of this year's Denman Undergraduate Research Forum. Matthew's poster was titled "Majoritarianism: A Defense Against American-Style Judicial Review" and was based on an honors thesis he wrote on Jeremy Waldron's majoritarianism under the supervision of Professor Piers Turner. Matthew also won a prize in last year's competition, for his work on John Stuart Mill and paternalism. To read more about the Denman Undergraduate Research Forum, please click here.
