Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Philosophy for Humans supported by Outreach staff grant

Dream Together

We are pleased to announce that the Philosophy for Humans learning community received support for its work from the Office of Outreach and Engagement's staff grant!  Philosophy for Humans, a learning community that formed as a pilot, met bi-weekly at Southeastern Correctional Institution (SCI) in Lancaster, Ohio in Autumn 2021.  The learning community comprised people who are incarcerated at SCI, faculty, staff and graduate students from the Philosophy Department as well as undergraduates and faculty from a variety of departments and majors at Ohio State.   This learning community is a collaboration between the Philosophy Department and the Ohio Prison Education Exchange Project (OPEEP).
