The building University Hall

The Department of Philosophy is proud to recognize the achievements of five doctoral students who have successfully defended their dissertations and will be awarded their Ph.D's this semester.

Jason DeWitt, Nathan Dowell, Dylan Flint, Vaughn Papenhausen, and Donald Soles Jr. pursued a wide range of philosophical questions in their research, contributing new insights to ongoing conversations in their respective fields.

Christopher Pincock, Professor of Philosophy and Director of Graduate Studies, shared his thoughts on the graduating cohort:
“We have an excellent graduate cohort this year, with dissertations spanning the history of philosophy, philosophy of science, value theory and epistemology. Their new research in philosophy is definitely worth celebrating!”

The department congratulates each graduate on this significant milestone and looks forward to seeing the impact of their work in the field of philosophy and beyond.
