This week Philosophy and Political Science Major Miranda McKinney successfully defended her research thesis, entitled "An Experiment in Memory: History as a Collection of Aesthetic Judgements.” In it, she explores and critiques the ideas of Friedrich Nietzsche and Hannah Arendt before offering her own original proposal for a philosophy of history. Miranda’s project advisor was Professor Chris Pincock, and Professors Lisa Shabel and Eric MacGilvray served on her committee. Well done, Miranda!
