Department Graduate Student Evan Thomas Wins SSEMP Essay Prize

Department graduate student Evan Thomas has been announced as winner of the 2020 Scottish Seminar in Early Modern Philosophy (SSEMP) Graduate Student Essay Prize. Thomas will present his essay, “Descartes, and His Critics, on the Passionate Animal,”  at the annual SSEMP conference, which will take place on May 7-8 2020 at the University of Edinburgh.

The SSEMP Graduate Student Essay Prize is funded by the British Society for the History of Philosophy.
