A number of our graduate students and faculty are presenting at the Eastern, Central and Pacific meetings of the American Philosophical Association.

At the Eastern meeting in December, Timothy Schroeder and former graduate student Wesley Cray are presenting their co-authored paper, "An Ontology of Ideas". In addition, Kevin Scharp is appearing as author in a symposium on his book, Replacing Truth, and Declan Smithies is a critic in a symposium on Hilary Kornblith's book, On Reflection.

At the Central meeting in February, three of our graduate students are appearing on the program. David Blanks is presenting his paper, "A Closer Look at Causal Bases and Implications for Reducing Dispositions", and Eric Snyder is presenting his paper, "Comparing Tastes: A New Problem for Relativism," while Christa Johnson is commenting in a colloquium on actions and causes. Many of our faculty are on the program too. Julia Jorati will present "Conservation and Persistence" in a symposium on conservation and continuous creation alongside former faculty member, Sukjae Lee. Declan Smithies will present "Attention and Visual Crowding" in a symposium on the epistemic role of attention. Ben Caplan is presenting a paper in a memorial symposium for Arthur Danto. And Chris Pincock is commenting in a symposium on mathematical explanation. Meanwhile, Lisa Downing, Tim Schroeder, Dawn Starr and Piers Turner will all be chairing sessions in their respective areas of expertise. And Lisa Shabel will be attending in her capacity as member of the program committee.

At the Pacific meeting in April, two of our graduate students are presenting papers. Teresa Kouri will present her paper, "Restall's Proof-Theoretic and Model-Theoretic Pluralisms", and Lindsay Rettler will present "On the Control of Faith and Belief" in a symposium on the nature of faith. In addition, Lisa Shabel will comment in a session of the North American Kant Society on Kant and the imagination.
