Below is a report on the present status of all students who entered our graduate program since fall of 2001, arranged by year of admission. There are many reasons that students leave a graduate program, including personal reasons and changes in career ambitions unrelated to success in the program.
- Cohort of 2001: Six students (five men, one woman) entered the program. The woman and three of the men completed the program. One man left after receiving an MA. The other man left without an MA as he already had one entering the program.
- Cohort of 2002: Seven students (six men, one woman) entered the program. One man completed the program and anther man is still in the program. The woman left after receiving an MA. The four men who left the program did not receive MA degrees from OSU; two had MA degrees when they entered the program.
- Cohort of 2003: Eight students (all men) entered the program. Four men completed the program. Four men left the program, none with an MA from our program but one had an MA from another program prior to entering ours.
- Cohort of 2004: Ten students (eight men, two women) entered the program. One woman completed the program; the other woman left to go to law school prior to earning an MA. Two men are still in program; one man completed the program. Five men left the program, one of those earned an MA in our program and three of those had MAs when they entered our program.
- Cohort of 2005: Seven students (four men, three women) entered the program. One man and one woman left the program without earning MAs. Three men and two women remain in the program.
- Cohort of 2006: Nine students (eight men, one woman) entered the program. The woman completed the program. Two men left the program after receiving their MA degrees; one man is currently on military leave. Five men remain in the program.
- Cohort of 2007: Five students (four men, one woman) entered the program. Two men left after receiving MA degrees. Two men and one woman remain in the program.
- Cohort of 2008: Seven students (five men, two women) entered the program. Two women left the program, one after receiving an MA. Two men left after receiving MA degrees. Three men remain in the program.
- Cohort of 2009: Six students (all men) entered the program; all are still in the program.
- Cohort of 2010: Nine students (five men, four women) entered the program; all are still in the program.
- Cohort of 2011: Four (three women, one man) entered the program; all are still in the program.
