My research concerns questions at the intersection of philosophy of mind, philosophy of language, bioethics, and race. I primarily work on pain communications, particularly in the context of racial and gender disparities in pain management. I am currently working on a book manuscript,Taking Pain Dismissal Seriously, under contract with Oxford University Press.
