My primary research interests are concerned with the ethical and metaethical dimensions of various ethical traditions including both Aristotelian and Stoic forms of virtue ethics, as well as ethics in the Confucian tradition. I'm particularly interested in problems in moral psychology, such as moral motivation and the degree to which sentiments and intellect inform our moral practices. I am also interested in exploring potential overlaps between the ethics and political thought of the Stoic tradition and anarchist political theory.
