I am a Senior Lecturer at Ohio State University. My research interests include issues at the intersection of Metaphysics and Philosophy of Science, as well as Metaphilosophy, and Social Philosophy. Much of my recent work concerns the role and form of explanation in contemporary metaphysics. I’m particularly interested in what these questions tell us about how we should do metaphysics. I have published articles on these topics and others in various journals.
My main research project is an extended defense of pluralism about metaphysical explanation. In short, I think that there are many sorts of metaphysical explanations that work in different ways. I defend and develop this view in an ongoing series of journal articles.
