Undergraduate Students

Bingham Award Nomination Form - Department of Philosophy, OSU

Description of the Award: The Philosophy Department annually presents a prize of $500 and an engraved medal to the student who submits the best undergraduate essay in philosophy.

Qualifications for Submission: A student must:

1. be an undergraduate student at OSU who has taken a philosophy course during the present school year;
2. have written the essay since April 1, 2007; and,
3. 3. have his/her essay endorsed by a faculty member or a graduate teaching associate in the Philosophy Department.

Deadline for Submission: May 22, 2008

Submissions: To preserve anonymity, the author’s name should appear only on a separate title page, which should be turned in along with the endorsement and Six copies of the paper to Michelle Brown in 350 University Hall by 5:00p.m. Please direct questions to Michelle at: brown.930@osu.edu.
